It is no secret that bloggers are always looking for the best spots to take pictures for their accounts and since quarantine began, I have had more time on my hands to drive around Houston and look for the best picture spots! Houston has so many unique and cool places to shoot and I can’t wait to share my favorite spots with y’all today!
Highland Village (& the Sprinkles Cupcakes ATM)
Highland Village, near the Galleria, is a great place to take expensive looking photos and is one of my favorite places to shoot! My two favorite places to shoot there are the Sprinkles Cupcakes ATM because I loved the pink background. I also love anything around Restoration Hardware! They have an outdoor space that is super cute and greenery all around there! During Christmas time, they also have a lot of gorgeous Christmas decor including a giant Christmas tree!
Historic Heights Fire Station & Elegant Additions across the street
The Heights Historic Fire station and Elegant Additions is probably my most popular place to shoot because both buildings are super gorgeous and go with my style and feed aesthetic perfectly! I suggest shooting here on weekends if you get nervous of people seeing you or going super early in the morning or late at night!
Heights Mercantile
The Heights has so many great spots to shoot since they have been building new places all over! Heights Mercantile has so many cute places to shoot and I usually grab several outfits and I just walk around and shoot all over the place! I suggest going early in the morning on a week day because otherwise it is super crowded.
Eleanor Tinsley Park
This is a VERY popular iconic Houston spot to shoot because the Houston skyline is no joke here! I always love doing a birthday photoshoot here or a couples shoot here! It is so pretty and the best time to go, I personally think, is at night when the sun is setting! This is another great spot to just walk around and find cute spots to take pictures! Also, this is a great spot for graduation or engagement photos!
McGovern Centennial Gardens
Probably one of my favorite places to shoot is at the McGovern Centennial Gardens because it is a giant gorgeous garden. It seriously feels like you are in a book or movie because it is so stunning! This is another place where you can shoot in so many different spots! I have taken prom and homecoming pictures here and this is another great spot for taking engagement photos!
Leopard Loung & Emerson Rose in Montrose
Need some funky or unique backgrounds to shoot? Montrose is the spot! I don’t shoot here often but if I want a cool shot for a collab or something different, the Leopard Lounge cheetah wall and Emerson Rose’s pink wall is the best place! I suggest going on a week day or early in the morning on the weekends before it gets super crowded for uninterrupted shots.
3607 White Oak Drive
This boutique has been a recent photo spot find but I am so obsessed with it! Every wall on this building is a different mural and has so many great photo spots! They have a giant Texas, stripes, rainbow, stars, and more! If you love pink or have a pink aesthetic, this is a GREAT spot to shoot! Again, I suggest going during the week or late in the evening to shoot!
19th Street in the Heights
This isn’t my favorite place to shoot if I am being honest because it doesn’t really fit my style but it does have a few good spots for me and if you like funky backgrounds, then check out 19th street! I definitely suggest going during the week because it is a popular hangout spot during the weekends!
These are just a few of my favorite spots to shoot in Houston and I am sure I will find many more fun places in the future but comment below and let me know some of your favorite places to shoot in Houston!
